Sam has proudly served the Ventura County community for many years as the owner of Ashwood Physical Therapy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cal State Channel Islands and later completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Azusa Pacific University in 2010, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Sam’s passion for physical therapy began early in his career while working as a PT aide, where he saw firsthand the impact personalized care can have on a person’s recovery and quality of life. Following a residency at Kaiser Hospital, he joined Ashwood Physical Therapy and became owner of the clinic in 2014.

Sam believes in providing individualized, compassionate care and takes pride in building strong relationships with his patients. He enjoys helping people regain strength, confidence, and mobility so they can return to the activities that matter most to them. His approach focuses on creating a supportive environment where patients feel encouraged throughout every stage of their recovery.

Outside of the clinic, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, staying active outdoors, and enjoying the many things Ventura County has to offer.

RitaJoy is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities they enjoy most. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Azusa Pacific University and enjoys working with patients of all ages and activity levels to help them achieve their goals.

RitaJoy's journey with Ashwood Physical Therapy began long before she became a physical therapist. She previously worked at the clinic as a physical therapy aide, where she discovered her passion for rehabilitation and patient care. Returning to Ashwood as a licensed physical therapist has been a rewarding full-circle experience and gives her a unique appreciation for both the clinic and the community it serves.

She believes that great physical therapy starts with listening, building trust, and creating a treatment plan that fits each patient's individual needs. RitaJoy enjoys helping patients recover from injuries, surgery, and everyday aches and pains while providing encouragement and support throughout the rehabilitation process.

When she's not in the clinic, RitaJoy enjoys horseback riding, spending time with her dog, and being outdoors. She loves staying active and helping others do the same, and she looks forward to helping her patients live healthier, more active lives.

Erin brings more than 25 years of experience helping patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence throughout their rehabilitation journey. After graduating from Cerritos College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 1999, she began her career specializing in aquatic therapy and later spent nearly a decade in sports medicine, where she expanded her orthopedic expertise and became a Certified Pilates Instructor.

Her diverse background includes outpatient orthopedics, aquatic therapy, home health, and serving as an Assistant PTA Program Director in Seattle, where she helped educate and mentor future rehabilitation professionals. Erin joined Ashwood Physical Therapy in 2023 and enjoys working with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, combining hands-on care, exercise, and patient education to help individuals achieve their goals.

Known for her positive attitude and compassionate approach, Erin values building strong relationships with her patients and creating a supportive environment where they feel encouraged every step of the way.

Outside the clinic, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and her many furry and feathered family members. Her experience, warmth, and dedication to helping others make her a valued member of the Ashwood Physical Therapy team.

Kellie has been a valued member of the Ashwood Physical Therapy team since 2003. She began her career at Ashwood as a physical therapy aide before transitioning to the front office in 2008, where her friendly personality and dedication to patient care quickly made her a favorite among patients.

Over the years, Kellie expanded her expertise in medical billing, insurance authorizations, and office operations, eventually becoming Ashwood’s Office Manager. She plays a vital role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly while helping patients navigate their care experience.

Outside of work, Kellie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, camping along the Ventura County coast, and making family memories at Disneyland. Her warmth, experience, and commitment to patient care make her an essential part of the Ashwood Physical Therapy family.

Jennifer joined the Ashwood Physical Therapy team in 2021 and has become a valued member of the front office staff. With a strong background in customer service, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming experience for every patient and helping make the therapy process as smooth as possible.

Jennifer has developed extensive knowledge in scheduling, insurance verification, and authorizations, and enjoys helping patients navigate the details of their care. Her friendly personality, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent service make her an important part of the Ashwood team.

Outside of the clinic, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking with family and friends, and taking scenic trips to the mountains. Her positive attitude and genuine care for others make her a valued member of the Ashwood Physical Therapy family.
